Hey, girl, hey! Love that you took time out of your busy day hustling to come see me for a bit.
I know your days are long, packed, and don’t have enough caffeine. So I totally appreciate seeing a busy boss lady such as yourself in my neck of the woods. And don’t worry, chances are my babies are napping or watching Paw Patrol for the fifteenth time today too – I won’t tell if you don’t.
Chances are, if you’re here, you’ve realized those Instagram filters and Snapseed editing apps just aren’t cutting it for your photos. You’ve already done your Yoga this morning and are really not looking forward to the poses you’ll have to do over your flat lays this afternoon – am I right?
Something also tells me that if you’re here, you’re serious about your business. Business is either booming and you are running 40 hours in a 24-hour day, or you are new and can already recognize how important your photos are to marketing your business in this insta-happy world social media has created. Either way – you’re in the right place.
If you are tired of:
- Taking lackluster photos with your iphone
- Tired of having more #pinterestfails vs #pinterestwins
- Tired of trying to DIY your business photography while having no idea what it really entails
- Or just plain ol’ tired and would really rather enjoy another cup of coffee than have to deal with editing another stinkin’ photo – then you’re in the right place friend!
Big Impact equals Big Profit
No matter where you’re at right now, you’re ready for more and recognize the photography in your business is exactly where you need to start to have the biggest and quickest impact on your profits.
You’re likely here because you have tried to do #allthethings yourself. You’re run ragged, missing steps, and quite frankly business is blowing up and you have more pressing matters in your life and business than laying out pretty things on the floor and trying to balance over them like some crazy yoga pose with your iphone.
You need help. You need someone to just do it for you, or tell you how to do it right. You don’t have time to waste. You need straight talk, lists, and an easy to navigate custom or source gallery of photos that fit your brand when you have a birthday party or camping trip coming up that you just can’t miss out on for business. Again I say, you’re in the right place my dear. Now grab another cup of coffee and take a deep sigh of relief – I’ll wait.
Around here, I like to give it to you straight – advice that is, coffee with cream and sugar please! If I could reach through the computer and give your shoulders a massage while you sip that coffee and let the weight of photography and business slide off your shoulders, I totally would.
Having been a photographer and blogger since 2012, I’ve likely seen and done nearly all of it in photography – good and bad friends. No secrets here!
I started out with a phone, moved to point and shoot cameras, added crappy Instagram filters, purchased my first DSLR, fumbled through Photoshop, was self-taught, took courses, purchased my second DSLR camera as sessions started to take off, setup a studio, worked in lifestyle photography, worked in food photography, worked for high-end businesses with stock and product photography, beat out a national brand for a newborn photography contract at hospitals, and am currently enrolled at a highly competitive art school for my Bachelor’s in Fine Arts.
You see, when it comes to photography I’ve climbed the ladder – okay more like a wet rope in gym class – but you get my point. It was a struggle at times. Sometimes I would get on a roll. Sometimes I would take courses and learn a few things online but then have questions. I would need to search YouTube or Google for help. I didn’t have anyone willing to invest in me and my business. I didn’t have anyone to give it to me straight.
That’s why I started blogging and photography. I was a new stay at home mom fresh out of the military. One baby born and another on the way. I was lost, bored, and searching for my purpose. I knew I had always enjoyed “crafts” and even more so the ability to help people via customer relations.
Once I had a few adorable babies, well obviously I wanted to photograph the crap out of them! And while I have always adored old photo albums and Polaroids, I didn’t like that my photos were coming out looking that way. I wanted to preserve the memories of my children the way I was seeing them in the flesh. That’s where my photography started, and who it has stayed consistently better for. Blogging, photography, teaching, helping, inspiring, are all things I aim to do better and better as time goes on – for my family and for yours. The changes in my family I have seen because I am being fulfilled and contributing on a personal, deeper level, has been indescribable. I want that for you friend. I want you to be so happy and content in what you are doing for yourself and your family, that you cannot even describe it to someone who asks.
So what are we waiting for?
I told you I would give it to you straight right? So let’s get to work! Let’s start building that next level of your business together. The higher you go, the more you see, and the cleaner the air. After keeping your head down and hustling for so long, it’s time to come up for air my friend – and I’ll lend a helping hand.
So grab a cup of coffee, tea, cupcake, pizza, whatever you like and take the Styled Stock Quiz I’ve created for you. After that, be sure to pop over to Facebook or Instagram and say hi! Follow along on Pinterest too because I pin a ton of great stuff daily from other business women like yourself that know their field. Then – let’s get to work.
And remember, you don’t have to have a B.A. in Photography – to be a BA in Photography.
